Welcome to Stone Table!
Francis Schaeffer once said that the chief duty of every Christian in every generation is to communicate the unchanging Gospel to a changing culture. At Stone Table that is our endeavor.

The Unchanging Gospel
Our first value is the unchanging Gospel - the entire Christian faith for the entire world. The Christian faith has its root in the unchanging God of the Old and New Testament Scriptures. Because God created the world, what God authoritatively speaks about the world is binding in every realm. Therefore, we first teach students what God says about Himself. For what God says about Himself is critical to a proper perspective of anything. To not begin ourselves with God is to begin with some part of God's creation, and to diminish one's relevance.

The Changing World
Secondly, we teach children that the world God created is not like Him, but finite or limited. Therefore, the world in its entirety is related because it is the work of God. In addition, the world is not unchanging but, rather, changes from generation to generation, from year to year, from moment to moment. Because we have the character of God as our Reference, we need not be discouraged or afraid of change. Rather, we Christians of all people are better prepared for that change, for we know that God is Lord of change.

Thus, we have two core truths indispensable for a comprehensive view of all things. These are the chief truths we must teach ourselves and our young ones. These truths are basic to a truly relevant program for all generations in all cultures.

By our mission, then, we do not aim to create a monolithic culture. By our mission, we do not aim to relive the past. We were not meant to change the Middle Ages, the Age of Greece, or the Renaissance. We are not even any longer called to change the Cold War Era. We were created by God to serve in the present generation at hand.

Our mission is to stir up in your child his chief obligation: to know God. And by knowing God, to know himself. And by knowing himself, to know how to best communicate the unchanging Gospel to his changing world. Such an endeavor gets behind everything - from character weaknesses to academic deficiencies.

Contact us. We would love to hear your vision for your child. We would love to help.

Sincerely,
